Yummy. Like the Nautilus-Elementary. I wonder what it would look like with the breadcrumbs hack that can be applied to any theme. Huhu, this'll be fun to try out!
Nifty. I really like the new improvements. The sad thing is that I had no idea Nautilus Elementary had similarities to Finder's interface, and I had no idea Gloobus was basically a copy of the Mac Quicklook until my brother commented on the X being on the left hand side. @_@ Haha, totally unexpected.
I still love it, though. There are so many things I can find that are vastly improved over OS X. I think Mark's vision for exceeding OS X's design via the community has already been met.
Just like the Times Online article- Apple would release iTunes for Linux, but then no one would buy a Mac.
Mac OS X is the best os, and it have a got a lot of awesome things like dock, finderbar, safari, itunes, quicklook etc. Apple want to make the perfect os, and they have made an awesome job
I will make my own linux-based os with a lot of improvements like transparency, a better instant messaging client (based on Live Messenger), a better web browser (based on Safari), a better media player (based on iTunes) and other good things
Yeah. I don't think it would be that difficult. It's just that Apple already has their foot in the door. The only reason people don't make a Safari-looking browser, iTunes-looking media player, or focus on some of those design differences is that they don't wanna' be copycats.
So they make something else, something different, which is good, but also leaves users who like that interface out in the cold.
Its only for Linux
